The Photography BS Degree (bachelors degree program) at The New England Institute of Art is a commercial photography program based on the digital domain. Students will start with the basics such as learning to determine exposure, composition, and lighting. Students work with digital cameras, color management software, digital imaging and digital printers to master a professional workflow. Students work in specialties such as photojournalism, advertising, portraiture, fashion, and architecture. Students will execute assignments in both the studio and on location. Students will specialize in the editorial, advertising, event photography, and portraiture. Graduates are prepared for entry level positions like; photographic technician, photographer assistant, digital imaging artist, product / still-life photographer, newspaper of editorial photographer, or as a photo retouch professional. Graduates may work in a studio, or advertising agency, publishing house, photo lab, production company, newspaper, magazine, or as a freelancer.
